When Zabuza returned to the last known place he and Haku had been staying and found it empty, he was displeased, to say the least. After fiddling around with the foreign electronic device for a bit, he managed to communicate with the younger shinobi and ordered him to return immediately. He didn't really fault Haku for taking a necessary leave when his pursuers had gotten close, but he wasn't used to his weapon being away from him for too long either. It had been partially his own fault for not telling Haku where he was going, but on the other hand, Zabuza didn't really think he was obligated to report his actions to his subordinate.

The coordinates he had given were not very exact, but he trusted that Haku would be able to recognize his chakra signature once he got close enough. The two hadn't been close companions so long without knowing certain unique attributes about each other. Nevertheless, there were some aspects that Zabuza preferred Haku to be ignorant on, no matter how often his tool had seen and experienced the darker side of the shinobi life. Even with the harsh life and grueling training Haku had undergone for many years, he was still able to retain a kind heart and a startlingly high amount of innocence.

Trying to keep a tight rein on his impatience, Zabuza learned some useful information from the people inside the computer while he waited for Haku to arrive.
